Global automakers are competing fiercely to take an early lead in the development and commercialization of next-generation vehicles.
Experts believe that battery-powered electric vehicles (EVs) and fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEVs) will be market leaders in the fast-growing green car sector.
“There is definitely a paradigm shift under way in the industry toward the green car market, and there will be an intensive battle to lead the growing market with next-generation vehicles,” said Kang Dong-wan, research fellow at the Korea Automotive Research Institute (KARI).
